Courses for Ex-Forces
Gerrards of Swinton is a long established and family run Haulage Company in the building trade. As well as being tremendously proud of our roots in Swinton, we are also immensely proud of the contribution that each and every one of our ex army heroes have made to our country.
For this reason, we are honoured to be able to give something back to the community by offering free courses to ex army members. Due to a lack in experience or training that is required by a lot of civilian companies, ex forces members can sometimes find it hard to get into civilian employment when they leave the army. Our Director is ex army himself and felt moved to provide a route for ex forces members to re-enter civilian employment more easily and make more of their lives post-military.
Spearheaded by Gerrards of Swinton ltd and in partnership with the Tarmac Group, the free ex forces courses project concentrates on providing quality civilian training in areas such as tipper truck and health & safety qualifications. These two courses and all others are provided to ex army personnel absolutely free of charge on our fleet of tipper trucks. The programme is an accessible way for our heroes to become productive members of society again while also helping them to avoid pitfalls in their life such as ending up on the streets, or worse. After receiving their expert training, all trainees will have priority over any jobs that will be available with us or other companies throughout the country.
Enrolling in our ex forces training is easy; all you have to do in order to take part is get in touch with us by email or phone and we’ll be happy to answer your questions as well as book you on the next course absolutely free of charge. We believe that everyone deserves a fair chance at bettering himself or herself and we’re proud to be associated with such an important cause.
If you would like to find out more about the free ex forces courses at Gerrards of Swinton, please do not hesitate to call us today – we’d love to hear from you.
